Data Storage

The first generation of data recorders allowed data to be collected either by a direct serial link to a PC or via a Compact Flash card. Some customers who only wish to collect data infrequently (e.g. only when an incident has occurred) still use these methods but most now use automatic data collection methods via GSM, GPRS (which also allow real-time data collection) or through wireless technologies Wi-Fi, ZigBee.

Data from the recorders is stored on a PC or server ready for viewing and analysis. The software supports several different databases to allow integration into our customers’ current IT systems.
